🎖️ Special Eligibility Criteria for Ex-Servicemen

1. Age Limit (As on 01.08.2026)

  • General Age Criteria: 20 to 28 years (Born between 02.08.1998 and 01.08.2006).

  • Age Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen (ESM): Actual period of military service rendered + 3 years.

  • Disabled Ex-Servicemen (DESM – SC/ST): Actual period of service rendered + 8 years.

  • Maximum Age Limit: Up to a maximum age of 50 years.

2. Educational Qualification (As on 21.08.2026)

  • Civil Graduation: A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognised University.

  • Army/Navy/Air Force Special Education Certificate: Matriculate Ex-Servicemen who have obtained the Army Special Certificate of Education (or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force) after completing not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces as of 21.08.2026 are eligible.

  • Computer Proficiency: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory (Certificate/Diploma/Degree or studied IT/Computer in High School/College).

  • Local Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the specified local language of the State/UT applied for.

3. Guidelines for Serving Armed Forces Personnel

  • Serving personnel whose Specific Period of Engagement (SPE) is due to complete on or before 20.08.2027 are eligible to apply under the Ex-Servicemen category.

  • Candidates must submit the required Proformas (Proforma B & C) from the competent authority at the time of document verification.

  • Selected candidates must be released from the Armed Forces on or before 20.08.2027 to join the allotted bank.

Selection will be based on a Two-Tier Online Written Examination followed by a Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT).

Negative Marking: $0.25$ marks (1/4th) will be deducted for every wrong answer in both Preliminary and Main Exams.

📋 Required Documents for ESM at Document Verification

  1. Released/Retired ESM: Discharge Certificate / Discharge Booklet / Pension Payment Order (PPO).

  2. Serving ESM: Certificates as per Proforma B (showing date of completion of SPE) and Proforma C (Undertaking).

  3. Extended Assignment ESM: Certificate as per Proforma D.

  4. Dependents of Servicemen Killed in Action: Proof of dependency and affidavit confirming the relaxation is availed by only one dependent.
